Conflict of Interest Policy
CAF requires all board members, staff and volunteers to disclose potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from related decisions.
Disclosure
All actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the Board Secretary in writing.
Recusal
The person disclosing a conflict is recused from all discussions and votes on the matter.
Record-keeping
Disclosures and recusal decisions are recorded in board minutes and reviewed annually.
Family members
Financial dealings with family members are prohibited without prior board approval.
